Book News - Foreign Rights Deals For The Call of the Void

I’m SO excited to share some fantastic news with you all today…The Call of the Void is going overseas!

Rights have now sold in a number of countries:

Germany

The Call of the Void has been picked up for publication in Germany, where I’m absolutely thrilled to have signed a two-book deal with Rowohlt following a pre-empt.

I have a personal connection to Germany (despite not yet having made it over there in person!), as my Grandad was posted there when he served in the British Army, and my mum was actually born there, so it feels incredibly special to know that my debut novel will reach German readers.

France

The Call of the Void was also pre-empted by Sonatine in France, who will also be publishing my second (as of yet, unwritten!) novel.

I have family living in France, so again, it feels wonderful to know that my book will find them there. Plus, I’ve already spoken about how much I adore the French language, so what a thrill to think that my words will be translated into it, quel frisson!

Russia and Ukraine

I’ve also signed deals with In Russia by AST Publishers, and in Ukraine by Family Leisure Club, and I feel humbled indeed, that despite the ongoing conflict, publishers are still working hard to bring books to readers.

It’s truly incredible to think that my book is going to be published in other languages and in countries I’ve only dreamt of visiting, reaching readers from all over the globe.
