About Rebecca
Born in West Yorkshire, a stone’s throw from Brontë Country, and named after Daphne du Maurier’s bestselling novel, Rebecca believes that her pull to the dark side of literature was inevitable.
She currently lives in Calderdale with her husband and two teenagers, where she writes full-time.
When Rebecca isn't at her desk, you’ll usually find her with her nose in a book, watching old films, or roaming the countryside in her wellies with her dogs.
Rebecca was runner-up in Theatre Cloud’s Gothic Fiction Contest in 2018, longlisted for the 2022 Women’s Prize Discoveries Prize and shortlisted for the 2022 Northern Writers Sid Chaplin Award for working-class writers.
Her debut novel, The Honeymoon Suite was picked up in a 48-hour six-figure pre-empt, and will be published in the UK by Renegade (Hachette). It has also sold in Germany, France, Ukraine, and Russia.
The Honeymoon Suite will be out in the UK on the 18th of June 2026 and is available for pre-order now.
Rebecca is represented by Laura Williams at Greene & Heaton.
